Friends of Scott Alvord for Roseville City Council 2012
First I want to congratulate Carol Garcia, Pauline Roccucci, and Bonnie Gore on their election to the City Council. They ran a great race. I also want to thank and congratulate all my fellow candidates, Phil Ozenick, Tracy Mendonsa, and John Schwartz. It is no small undertaking to run for City Council and I know just how hard all of us worked.
While we didn't get the result we had hoped for, I am very proud of the race we ran. We focused our campaign on issues like job creation, public safety, and addressing the quality of life challenges in our neighborhoods. Moving forward, I am looking forward to working with our new Council as President of the Downtown Roseville Merchants and as a businessman to grow our economy and finish the important work of downtown revitalization. Karen and I are also going to be starting a new RCONA neighborhood association in our area.
I am deeply grateful to my family, all of the friends who stood beside me, the volunteers who gave so much of themselves, and the community of supporters who joined our campaign get Roseville back to work.
And we will.
This campaign has been an incredible experience for our entire family, and a reminder that the strength of Roseville—the intangible that makes our community such a special place to live, work and raise a family—is its people.
Thank you again for your encouragement and tireless support.

Who you elect for City Council will directly affect your everyday life!
Roseville’s City Council sets policy for the largest and fastest growing community in all of Placer County. Its decisions directly affect local job creation, our utility bills, police & fire services, traffic, parks, water, and building projects, and much more.
Having lived, raised a family, and built three small businesses in this community over the last twenty five years, Scott understands the vital role that local government can play in promoting economic recovery, protecting families and neighborhoods, and expanding job opportunities for future generations. And that’s what makes your support for this campaign so important.
